Check Out Cellofourte.net

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

We just went live with Cellofourte’s new site. Head on over to check it out at www.cellofourte.net to see how awesome they are - and to check out the type of work we can do for bands.

It was great to meet this talented group, and we avidly became fans within minutes of hearing their CD, Usung. Since then, we’ve seen them live, and will for sure do so again on June 2nd. Do yourself a favor, and listen to the clips on their site - it’s some amazing stuff.

Russian Roulette

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

I was just let in on a little secret. A music lover’s paradise. It’s called “Go Music.” It’s an iTunes wannabe coming straight at us from Russia. They sell full albums for under five bucks. Songs for thirty cents. The person who told me all about this claims that the quality is great and they have just about any song your heart may desire. If you’re willing to take a gamble and give it a try, it could be a nice way to save some money on legit downloads. Now, don’t take my word on this; I have yet to use it myself. Here’s the link: http://www.gomusic.ru

Open Source Logos?

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

While browsing around as I tend to do, like, all of the time, I came across a site, brands of the world. It contains a horde of brand campaigns that, with the apparent permission of their powers that be, allow for vector graphics of logos to be downloaded for people like us to use. Low and behold, the Steelers logo is second on the home page list. Yet another “world wide wicked” (we’re allowed to say wicked, Andy lived in Boston).

Beluga Cam

Saturday, April 14th, 2007

I had kinda forgotten about the whole web cam thing until I stumbled upon this cool site. It’s a live feed of Beluga whales in Vancouver.

…There’s a bigger more meaningful thought in my head about how great it is that using technology can raise awareness of things outside the reach of day to day living and remind us that there’s more out there that deserves looking after than we often remember… But that thought isn’t forming so poetically at the moment so I’ll just share the link to the feed now and maybe come back and edit this post later so it’s not so obvious that I’m writing this just before I’m ready to tuck in for the night…

Design Meets Brand Italiano Style

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

While we’re on the topic of simplicity in design mixed with corporate identity and branding, I found a site that earns the Dark Oak Leaf of Approval. The award goes to Milan fashion designer, Gimmo Etro, for his company’s site at www.etro.com.

My haute couture buddy, Zach, pointed it out to me today, and I just couldn’t help but use it as an example of the very topics we’ve been talking about. This site makes wonderful use of a simple visual layout (although enhanced with some intense flash design), while at the same time it is super creative and presents a clear cut brand identity. Just thought I’d share. Ciao!

Here’s an interesting article, given the onset of Vista in the world of the ever-changing Mac. (And… Mac is having a field day with it all. Check it out)

News fallen from the Apple Tree

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

iPod, meet phone. Love at first site, no doubt. This latest introduction of sexy just happened. Andy’s involvement with MacTribe Magazine of Boston gave us this piece of Mac insider hottness today. The magazine’s owner, who is currently out in San Francisco attending MacWorld 2007, was IMing Andy as Steve Jobs announced the launch of the long awaited hybrid iPhone. It appears to be nothing short of awesome, as it also serves as a mean for accessing the Internet on the go, and pretty much a basic accessory for life, so it seems. Super hot — too bad for being stuck in contract for another year. Talk about marketing power. These dudes have got it down. Check out apple.com to be amazed.
