...and that makes me the other half of Dark Oak Studios, also known as, the marketing partner. Like Andy said, I've been all across the board before landing this sweet gig with him. Point in case, I was a Philosophy major in college, and made a living pushing lotion at Bath & Body Works. I thought I'd end up in law school until I was bored out of my mind while working in a law firm, where I sat in a room and looked up statutes all day. As I listlessly pondered a New York statute regarding the legality of cutting down trees, I decided that the creative field may be more appropriate for me. So, I graduated with my degree in Philosophy. After fighting off hordes of employers looking for an entry level professional philosopher, I decided to delve further into academia. This time around, for creative marketing -- more specifically known as Integrated Marketing Communications. Here, I studied creative strategy, strategic planning, public relations, organizational behavior, Internet marketing, and some design theory (clearly Andy's forte in this establishment). Probably one of the coolest things I've done so far (besides Dark Oak, of course) was working in London while staying at Oxford. Seeing the professional and academic world by European standards really changed the way I think, work, and conduct myself in business. Shortly after returning, I met Andy when he bestowed upon me a brilliant animation, twisting Blind Melon's "No Rain" into an unbelieveably humorous pun (ask us sometime, we'll explain). I knew immediately that this guy was unique, and that he'd be right in line with my way of thinking. Then, I figured out that he has Ben Folds and Mike Doughty in his iTunes and it was in the bag. Really, I'm just happy to have the opportunity to work with Andy, to build our Dark Oak empire, and to share our uniqueness with the world. I'm also a Taurus, I like long walks on the beach... just kidding.
